WAKE UP EARLY

Your morning is the window to a successful, productive, and purposeful day.

Establish an early waking routine, preferably before sunrise. If you're in a life stage where you have limited control over your mornings or don't have the opportunity for a good rest and early rising, do what you can to create an intentional morning routine that promotes creativity, self-care, and nourishment.

Take advantage of the period known as "Brahma muhurta" to awaken calmly with mental clarity.

Brahma muhurta refers to a specific time of day considered auspicious

and conducive to spiritual practice and self-development.

MORNING HYGIENE

Practice thorough oral hygiene, including rinsing with warm water and oil pulling with coconut oil. Scrape your tongue to remove toxins accumulated overnight and take a refreshing shower to cleanse and awaken your body.

DRINK WARM WATER

Start your day by drinking a glass of warm water with lemon or ginger to hydrate and stimulate the digestive system. Avoid cold or icy beverages that can chill the digestive fire (agni).

MEDITATION OR YOGA PRACTICE

Engage in a meditation session. Your meditation practice should be calm, to quiet the mind and connect with yourself. If you're rushing off, try a brief meditation session for a few minutes. You'll find that only a few minutes can make all the difference for a productive, better day.

Practice a gentle yoga sequence to awaken and stretch the body, enhancing energy and flexibility.

BALANCED BREAKFAST

Consume a nutritious and balanced breakfast, preferably warm and fresh. Try to include foods according to your personal Ayurvedic constitution (dosha) and the season. Avoid heavy, sugary, or processed meals that can cause sluggishness and drowsiness.

SET INTENTIONS

Take a few moments to set intentions and goals for the day. Prioritize important tasks and activities, especially your "high point" of the day. Plan your schedule and activities in a realistic and structured manner.

It's important to plan time to relax, rest, and connect with yourself throughout the day.

REFLECTION AND GRATITUDE TIME

Engage in a brief personal reflection or keep a gratitude journal. Learning to appreciate the blessings and achievements of the previous day will help you feel more at peace with your life and what you're accomplishing each day. Cultivate a positive and optimistic attitude towards the day ahead. It's important to acknowledge and honor your emotions, but allowing yourself to feel joy is one of the hardest things to do. Practice feeling happy, being happy, and finding joy throughout the day.

GET OUTSIDE

Go outside for 15-30 minutes. If possible, try to step outside within 30 minutes of waking up. If you can't, try to be near a window that lets in natural light. Look at the sun, have a warm drink, connect with yourself, and honor your day.

AVOID ELECTRONIC DISTRACTIONS

Limit the use of electronic devices and social media in the morning. Avoid screen exposure for at least 30 minutes after waking up.

Practice mental calmness and concentration during morning activities. Avoid unnecessary stress and haste. Cultivate a present and mindful mindset.
